SAN ANTONIO — We’re counting down towards the weekend! Here are four events you’ll want to make time for as you Play in S.A.

TEXAS FOLKLIFE FESTIVAL

Friday – Sunday

Institute of Texan Cultures

Get ready for the state’s biggest cultural celebration! The Texas Folklife Festival starts Friday at the Insitute of Texan Cultures and runs all weekend. Experience authentic ethnic cuisine, music, dance and arts and crafts from the several cultures that make up Texas hertiage. News 4 San Antonio is a proud sponsor of the event. Tickets can be bought online or at the gate.

CAR SHOW EXTRAVAGANZA

Saturday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Watercrest at Dominion

Check our cars and help a good cause all at the same time on Saturday. The Watercrest at the Dominion will host a car show extravaganza. Admire vintage vehicles while enjoying live music, food and raffle prizes. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted for the Alzheimer’s Association of San Antonio.

DISTRICT 6 PEOPLE & PETS EVENT

Saturday, 6 p.m.

Potranco Branch Library/YMCA

Saturday, it’s all about celebrating our four-legged friends. The District 6 People and Pets Event will take place at the Potranco Branch Library/YMCA. Bring the family, including your dog. Try out bounce houses, face painting, food trucks and giveaways. There will also be free microchipping for your pet. There will also be a screening of the film, The Secret Life of Pets, at dusk.

GET OUT AND PLAY SA

Sunday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Confluence Park

Take your kids to play Sunday at Confluence Park. Get Out and Play SA will feature free nature-based games and activities, as well as music by Lando. The event is hosted by Nature Rocks San Antonio and the San Antonio River Foundation.
